High Adventure Planning Meeting - Oct 9th
|
High Adventure 2025 meeting will be held on Oct. 9, 6pm. We will discuss anticipated trips, including Sea Base and Philmont Calvacade (horse crew) for 6010. Plus we will discuss what other adventures the scouts are interested in for that year.
|
$250 Deposits for both Seabase and Calvacade will be accepted beginning 10/9 to hold a spot on these crews. If we are unable to get the desired crews, deposits will be refunded. Calvacade will be in July. It is limited to 14 people. Priority will be given to T6010. In the event, the crew does not fill, we will then open it up to T10.

We intend to go to SeaBase over spring break. This is open to both T10 and T6010 Sscouts and parents. We will determine what adventure we want on 10/9.

Blue Valley Fall Funfest Volunteer Sign-up - 10/14
We had a great time earning service hours running carnival games, setting up pumpkins and decorations, checking in families and helping out at the Fall Funfest. It's time to sign-up again this year.
|
- 8-10am - Help set out 500 pumpkins and decorate the fields. Class B recommended and work gloves
- 3-7pm - 2-hour afternoon shifts report to the BV Rec Staff at the front gate. You will receive a staff t-shirt and a choice of assignments: running carnival games, photo or helping folks get their pumpkins to their cars

Soaring Eagle Camporee - Merit Badge Sign-up
Soaring Eagle is offering Archery, Astronomy, Family Life and Wilderness Survival Merit Badges for Scouts to work on during Camporee - Saturday 10-21. The Family Life Merit Badge counselor will offer a Zoom session 90 days from the date of Camporee to complete the final requirements, if needed.

Sign ups for each merit badge will close at the end of day 10/18 or when they are full, whichever comes first.

The next volunteer opportunity for Scouts seeking Citizenship In The Community volunteer hours will be Saturday, October 14th from 9 - 11 am.
