Blue Valley Fall Funfest Volunteer Sign-up - 10/14
We had a great time earning service hours running carnival games, setting up pumpkins and decorations, checking in families and helping out at the Fall Funfest. It's time to sign-up again this year.
|
- 8-10am - Help set out 500 pumpkins and decorate the fields. Class B recommended and work gloves
- 3-7pm - 2-hour afternoon shifts report to the BV Rec Staff at the front gate. You will receive a staff t-shirt and a choice of assignments: running carnival games, photo or helping folks get their pumpkins to their cars

Soaring Eagle Camporee - Final T10- Sign-up
|
Join us for Camporee at Hillsdale Lake October 21st-23rd! This is a district wide Soaring Eagle event and there will be multiple troops in attendance. Webelo and Arrow of Light Scouts will join us on Saturday to meet the various troops and particpate in activities. We encourage all Troop 10 Scouts to attend and show the Cub Scouts what makes our Troop so great...you guys!!

There will also be archery, rockets, first aid, fire building, hatchet throwing and much more! Registration is due to the District on Friday, October 13th, so please sign up ASAP so we can register the appropriate number of Scouts and adults for the event.

Soaring Eagle Camporee - Merit Badge Sign-up
Soaring Eagle is offering Archery, Astronomy, Family Life and Wilderness Survival Merit Badges for Scouts to work on during Camporee - Saturday 10-21. The Family Life Merit Badge counselor will offer a Zoom session 90 days from the date of Camporee to complete the final requirements, if needed.

Sign ups for each merit badge will close at the end of day 10/18 or when they are full, whichever comes first.

The next volunteer opportunity for Scouts seeking Citizenship In The Community volunteer hours will be Saturday, October 14th from 9 - 11 am.

We Want and Need Your Help
One of the strengths of our Troop 10 and Troop 6010 has always been our great adult volunteers. BUT since we have returned from Covid we have had fewer of our adults attending our activities. Please join us inside at troop meetings, activities, community service, campouts, committee meetings and everything your Scout does. Your participation is critical to the success of your Scout.

If you are interested in a specific place where you can help contact the Troop Committee Chair, Tim Navickas and he will plug you in to whatever best fits your interest and skills. There is a wide variety of needs: some only involve minimal participation, many do not require camping and others will get you as involved as your Scout.
